India and WEF Launch Skills Accelerator
India and the World Economic Forum are working together to create a special program called the Skills Accelerator.
This program will help people in India get the right skills for jobs by working with the government, companies, and schools.
The goal is to make sure that the skills people learn match what companies need, both in India and around the world.
This will help people find better jobs and make the Indian workforce more competitive globally.
The program was officially started on January 23, 2026, and it's a big step towards making sure everyone has the right skills for the future.
Additionally, the Uttar Pradesh government has signed an important agreement with the Noida Apparel Export Cluster to provide skill training to one lakh candidates over the next five years, with a focus on women empowerment and employment in industrial units.
India and the World Economic Forum (WEF) are launching the Skills Accelerator to address workforce skill gaps.
The initiative aims to strengthen the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) ecosystem.
The Accelerator will align skilling initiatives with industry and global economy demands.
The formalization of the partnership marks a key milestone in building a future-ready workforce.
