Lions Club Supports MSEDCL Staff with Snakebite Treatment
The Lions Club of Khopoli has decided to help MSEDCL workers who get bitten by snakes while working.
They will pay for the medicine needed to treat the snakebites.
This is because these workers often have to go into areas with lots of bushes and garbage, where snakes might be.
The club wants to make sure these workers get the help they need.
They also do other good things for the community, like helping people with dialysis and eye surgeries.
This is a way for the community to support the people who keep the electricity running.
Lions Club of Khopoli will cover anti-snake venom treatment costs for MSEDCL employees bitten on duty.
MSEDCL employees often work in areas with dense vegetation, exposing them to snakebites.
The initiative was formalized after an MSEDCL employee, Mayur Shinde, was bitten by a snake.
Treatment will be provided at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Municipal Hospital in Khopoli.
The Lions Club is known for various community welfare programs, including healthcare initiatives.
