Indian Women Excel in AI Skills
Indian women have the highest AI skills compared to other countries.
They are almost twice as likely to have AI skills as the average person globally.
This is because many women in India study engineering and have access to flexible learning options.
However, even though many women have AI skills, very few reach top leadership positions in the field.
Companies are trying to fix this by offering mentoring and leadership programs, but there is still a big gap.
Some people say this is because of cultural and institutional biases that need to be addressed.
Indian women have a relative AI skill penetration rate of 1.9, the highest globally.
The overall AI skill penetration in India is 2.51, second only to the United States.
Women's participation in AI and machine learning programs has grown four-fold to 20% in 2025.
There is a 64% gender disparity in AI leadership roles in India.
Companies are introducing inclusive leadership programs to elevate women into AI roles.
