BJP Says No One Escapes Law in Punjab CBI Case

The CBI has opened a corruption case involving Rajbir Ghuman, an aide to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

The agency says the allegations involve money being offered to influence government decisions.

The decisions named include government postings, approvals and licensing matters.

The CBI registered an FIR against Ghuman and his associates.

It said the case followed directions from a court and a report from the Enforcement Directorate.

Ghuman did not attend a questioning appointment in Chandigarh.

Reports said he cited not receiving formal service of the summons.

BJP leaders criticized him and alleged wrongdoing, but those claims are allegations, not established findings.
