Marvel’s Wolverine May Have Opened Door To Bigger X-Men Gaming Universe
Marvel’s Wolverine is a game about the famous mutant hero Logan.
It has very violent fights using Wolverine’s claws and healing powers.
However, the story also shows that Logan is emotional and troubled by his past.
Jean Grey is another important character who has powerful moments in the game.
Other mutants, including Mystique and Sabretooth, also appear.
These characters make the game feel connected to a larger X-Men world.
The game does not have the open-world freedom of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games.
Some enemies also repeat, but the story may be the start of more X-Men games.
Marvel’s Wolverine combines brutal combat with a more vulnerable portrayal of Logan.
Liam McIntyre’s performance gives Wolverine emotional depth, humor and humanity.
Jean Grey, voiced by Krizia Bajos, is one of the game’s standout characters.
The game features Mystique, Sabretooth, Toad, Leech and Calisto alongside Wolverine.
Its mutant references and character roster suggest Insomniac Games could expand into a larger X-Men universe.
