Ballia Double Murder: Husband and Two Others Arrested
Police in Ballia arrested three people after a woman and her daughter were found dead.
The victims were Manti Gupta and her daughter Gauri.
Manti was found inside her home, and Gauri was found in a nearby field.
Police say Manti had mental health problems and Gauri was visually impaired.
They allege that Manti’s husband, Ramcheez, worried about how the family’s situation affected his social standing.
Police say he worked with Chandan Yadav and Dinesh Gupta.
The three were arrested at Sidhagarh Ghat and sent to jail.
Investigators also recovered items they believe may be connected to the killings.
Ramcheez had initially reported that he returned home to find his wife dead and his daughter missing.
Police arrested Ramcheez Gupta and two alleged accomplices over the deaths of Manti Gupta and her daughter Gauri.
