Pakistan Defers Military Action After Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are partners in a defence agreement with Turkey.

The agreement says an attack on one partner would count as an attack on all three.

Houthi fighters from Yemen have attacked Saudi cities and energy facilities.

Pakistan says it is not planning military action right now.

A Pakistani official said the country would act if the agreement required it.

The Houthis also accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out strikes in Yemen.

Pakistan has condemned the attacks and reportedly asked Iran to control its Houthi allies.

No Pakistani troops, aircraft, or ships have been sent into combat, according to the report.
