Three Elephants Found Dead in Tamil Nadu Forest
Three elephants, including a baby elephant, were found dead in a private forest in Tamil Nadu, near the border with Andhra Pradesh.
The forest is close to a wildlife sanctuary and an important path that elephants use to move between states.
Authorities from both Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh are working together to find out why the elephants died.
This is the sixth time elephants have died in this area in the last few months.
Local people say the forest is not being watched carefully enough, but the officials say they are doing a thorough investigation.
They promise to take strict action if they find anyone responsible for the deaths.
Three elephants, including a calf, were found dead in a private forest in Vellore district, Tamil Nadu.
The forest is near the Andhra Pradesh border and close to the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary.
A joint investigation team from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh is examining the carcasses.
