Bombay High Court Hears Hotel's Appeal Against License Cancellation

Bombay High Court Hears Hotel's Appeal Against License Cancellation

A five-star hotel in Navi Mumbai, Park Inn By Radisson, is appealing against the cancellation of its license by the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The FDA found serious hygiene violations, including cockroaches in the kitchen.

The hotel argues that the license should not be suspended based on a checklist alone and that the FDA did not provide sufficient reasons.

The Bombay High Court is hearing the case, with judges joking about the presence of insects in India.

The FDA has also taken action against other clubs and restaurants for hygiene violations.

The next hearing is scheduled for next Friday.
