Karnataka Approves 5-Year Age Relaxation

The Karnataka government has decided to give a five-year age relaxation for people applying for government jobs.

This means that if the maximum age for a job is 35 years, people up to 40 years old can now apply.

The government made this decision because there have been delays in hiring due to a freeze on internal reservation issues.

Earlier, in September 2023, they had given a three-year relaxation, but now they have extended it to five years.

The freeze on recruitments was lifted in August 2025 after the government fixed internal reservation quotas.

Several people and organizations had asked for this five-year relaxation to help candidates who were affected by the delays.
