Sisters in Sweat Hyderabad Chapter Launches for Women's Fitness
Imagine a club where women get together to play sports and exercise.
That's Sisters in Sweat (SIS)!
Started in 2017, it now has a Hyderabad chapter.
Women of all ages can join to play football, run, and more.
The club posts the week's activities online.
It costs a small fee to join.
SIS is expanding and hopes to be in many more cities, thanks to support from a group called Rainmatter.
The goal is for women to have fun while staying active, with coaches making the sessions friendly and welcoming.
Sisters in Sweat (SIS) started in Bengaluru in 2017 to encourage women's sports participation.
The Hyderabad chapter, led by Anusha Rao, has a 250-strong community with weekend sessions.
SIS offers activities like football, kickboxing, and running; weekly meet-up details are posted online.
Rainmatter's funding supports SIS expansion to 10 cities by 2026 and large participatory events.
Sessions cater to diverse age groups with plans for expanded offerings, including coaching for runners.
