Portrait of V.S. Ramalingam Unveiled at Thanjavur Bar
A legal group in Thanjavur held a ceremony to remember lawyer V.S. Ramalingam.
Justice A.T. Jagadeesh Chandra unveiled a portrait of him.
He praised Ramalingam for his leadership, learning, friendliness and ethics.
Justice Chandra said lawyers need to know English well to argue in the Supreme Court.
He also said Tamil should be used in courts in Tamil Nadu.
At the same time, he said English is also important.
Justice Akbar Ali released a book about Ramalingam.
Other lawyers and public representatives attended the event.

He also supported Tamil as the court language in Tamil Nadu while endorsing a two-language policy.
