Goa CM Confirms Decision to Remove Minister Gaude
The Art and Culture Minister of Goa, Govind Gaude, was removed from his position by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
This happened about a month after Gaude accused the Tribal Welfare Department (led by the CM) of corruption.
The Chief Minister said it was his decision but didn't say why.
Gaude had previously been a minister.
The opposition party, Congress, called for the government to be removed due to the allegations.
Goa CM Pramod Sawant confirmed he made the decision to remove Govind Gaude from the cabinet.
The removal occurred approximately one month after Gaude alleged corruption in the Tribal Welfare Department.

Gaude, a tribal leader, was elected in March 2022 and previously served in the Sawant cabinet.
