CPM Expels Member Over Martyrs’ Fund Allegations

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has decided to expel a member named V. Kunhikrishnan.

He was expelled because he made serious allegations against a party leader, Payyannur MLA T. I. Madhusoodanan.

Kunhikrishnan accused the leader of misusing funds meant for martyrs and other party activities.

The party says Kunhikrishnan broke party rules and tried to harm the party's reputation.

Kunhikrishnan claims he has proof of the misused funds, which amount to about ₹1.5 crore.

The party will officially announce his expulsion after a meeting on Monday.

Kunhikrishnan also said he was removed from his position after he raised these issues internally.
