xAI Reportedly Considers Four Combined Grok and X Plans
xAI is thinking about changing how people pay for Grok and X. Right now, the two services have separate subscription choices.
The proposed system would put both services under one subscription.
It would have four levels, including a free plan.
A Lite plan may cost $8 each month.
An Ultra plan may cost $100 each month and include an AI assistant that can perform tasks.
The change could make the choices easier to understand.
It may also help xAI pay for the expensive computers needed to run Grok.
xAI is reportedly exploring one subscription covering both Grok and the social network X.
The proposed structure would have four tiers, including a free option and a $100-per-month Ultra plan.
A reported $8-per-month Lite plan would include Grok, a verification badge, and fewer X feed advertisements.
The proposal could replace seven separate options currently offered across X and Grok.
The restructuring may simplify billing and help offset the high computing costs of AI chatbots.
