Alex Honnold Climbs Taipei 101 Without Ropes

Alex Honnold, a famous rock climber, climbed the outside of Taipei 101, a very tall building in Taiwan, without any ropes or safety equipment.

This event was shown live on Netflix.

The climb was postponed by a day because of bad weather.

The top of the building was covered in clouds, and it was raining.

Netflix said they had to reschedule the climb to make sure it was safe.

The new time for the climb was Sunday evening at 8 PM ET, which is Sunday morning in Taiwan.

Taipei 101 is one of the tallest buildings in the world and was the tallest from 2004 to 2010.

Another climber, Alain Robert, climbed it in 2004 with a safety rope.

Honnold said he had once thought of climbing the structure without permission but decided to respect the building and the people involved.

Taiwanese politicians thanked Honnold and Netflix for putting Taiwan in the international spotlight.
