OpenAI Adds New ChatGPT Customization Controls
OpenAI has added new settings to ChatGPT that let users change how warm, enthusiastic, and emoji-filled the chatbot's responses are.
Users can also choose from three different styles: Professional, Candid, or Quirky.
This comes after people complained that ChatGPT was being too friendly or too cold.
OpenAI is also focusing on making ChatGPT safer for teens by adding rules to keep them safe and explaining what the chatbot can and can't do.
They use special tools to check messages for anything dangerous and have people review them if needed.
OpenAI introduced new controls to adjust ChatGPT's warmth, enthusiasm, and emoji use.
Users can set these levels to More, Less, or Default in the Personalization menu.
ChatGPT's base style can be customized to Professional, Candid, or Quirky.
OpenAI has faced criticism for ChatGPT's tone, with users complaining about sycophantic and cold responses.
OpenAI updated its Model Spec to prioritize teen safety and published new AI literacy resources.
