SA20 building South Africa's cricket future, says Chris Morris
A former cricket player named Chris Morris says a special cricket league in South Africa is helping young players get better.
The league is called SA20, and it brings the best players from South Africa and other countries together.
Young players get to play against these very good players in the same teams.
In the past, big cricket matches sometimes happened at the same time as local games, so the best players were missing.
Now, SA20 makes sure all the star players take part.
Each team also has to have at least two young players under 23 years old.
These young players can watch the stars train and learn what it takes to be great.
Even if they don't play, they share the dressing room with their heroes.
Morris says this makes everyone try harder and raise their game.
He believes this will help South Africa have a strong future in cricket.
Former South African all-rounder Chris Morris says SA20 is building cricket depth by letting young players face the best domestic and international talent.
The league's fifth edition is scheduled for January next year, with changes to its retention and auction policies.
Each of the six SA20 franchises is required to include at least two Under-23 players in their squad.
Morris noted that in the past, domestic leagues clashed with international cricket and other leagues, limiting young talent's development.
SA20 ensures all international players take part, creating what Morris described as a 'domino effect' on training standards.

“It's definitely building depth. You've got young players playing against the best in the country, first of all. In the past, sometimes our domestic leagues would clash with international cricket, and our international players wouldn't be there, or there'd be an IPL on, or there'd be another league on where players would be playing overseas. And what the SA20 has done is it's said, we're going to play all of our international players. So when you've got youngsters playing against the best that (S”
