Odisha Leads in ABPMJAY Card Distribution
Odisha has become the top state in India for giving out ABPMJAY cards, which help people get free healthcare.
The scheme was started in Odisha on April 11, 2025, and it covers 80% of the state's population.
Families can get up to Rs 5 lakh for treatment each year, and women can get an extra Rs 5 lakh.
The state is also doing well in giving out AVVY cards to senior citizens.
A big meeting was held in Bhubaneswar to talk about how to make the healthcare system even better.
The National Health Authority signed agreements with other organizations to improve healthcare services.
Odisha tops in ABPMJAY card distribution within nine months of its implementation.
The scheme offers cashless treatment of Rs 5 lakh per year for each beneficiary family, with an additional Rs 5 lakh for female members.
80% of Odisha's 4.5 crore population is covered under the converged scheme of ABPMJAY and Gopabandhu Jana Arogya Yojana (GJAY).
Odisha is fifth in generating AVVY cards for senior citizens above 70 years, with over 22.41 lakh beneficiaries.
