Axis Bank Q3 2026 Results: Growth and Challenges
Axis Bank, one of the big private banks in India, shared its results for the last three months of 2025.
The bank made more money than people thought it would, about 3% more than last year.
This is good news because experts expected the bank to make less money.
The bank also made more money from loans, about 5% more.
However, the bank had to set aside some money for bad loans, but this amount was less than the previous three months.
The percentage of bad loans also went down a little.
The bank's loan book grew by 14.3% thanks to growth in SME and corporate loans.
The bank issued 1 million new credit cards and has over 15 million in operation.
Overall, the bank is doing well, and people are happy with the results.
Axis Bank reported a 3% YoY increase in net profit for Q3 2026, surpassing analyst expectations.
Net Interest Income rose by 5% YoY to ₹14,287 crore, driven by a 14.3% YoY growth in advances.
Provisions and contingencies increased by 4% YoY but decreased by 37% sequentially.
Gross non-performing asset ratio improved to 1.40% from 1.46% sequentially.
Axis Bank issued nearly 1 million credit cards in Q3FY26, bringing the total to over 15 million.
