Francis Ford Coppola's Watch Sells for $10.8 Million

Francis Ford Coppola, a famous movie director, sold a special watch he helped design for $10.8 million at an auction.

This watch is called the F.P. Journe FFC Prototype.

The sale happened in New York and took 11 minutes of bidding.

The buyer was anonymous.

This sale is the highest price for a watch in the U.S. since 2017.

Coppola sold the watch because his recent movie, 'Megalopolis,' did not make much money.

The movie cost a lot to make but only earned $14.3 million.

Coppola is known for directing famous movies like 'The Godfather' and 'The Godfather Part II.'
