Finance Ministry to Review RRB Performance Post-Consolidation
The finance ministry is going to have a meeting on January 30 with important bank leaders to talk about how well the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) are doing after they were combined.
There used to be 43 RRBs, but now there are only 28.
The meeting will check how much money the RRBs are making, how well they are lending to important sectors, and how they are handling their money.
The RRBs are special banks that help small farmers and people in rural areas.
The government and other banks own parts of these RRBs.
The meeting is important because it will help decide how to make these banks even better.
