Nepal Flash Floods Spark Reflection on Human Helplessness
A sudden flash flood in Nepal washed away many people, reminding the author of a quote from Shakespeare's King Lear.
The quote talks about how humans are like flies to gods, who seem to cause disasters for their own amusement.
The author wonders why innocent people suffer in such events, especially when many of these disasters might be caused by human actions.
The author also thinks about how our lives might be like experiments by gods, but prefers to believe in karma and the idea that our actions determine our fate.
However, the author struggles to understand why innocent people die in these disasters.
A flash flood in Nepal caused significant loss of life and property.
The author reflects on the helplessness of humans in the face of natural disasters.
