India captain Salima Tete vows Hockey World Cup gold

Salima Tete is the captain of India's women's hockey team.

She talked about her team's big dream of playing in the FIH Hockey Women's World Cup in 2026.

Her team recently won a tournament called the FIH Nations Cup in New Zealand.

That win made the players feel very confident and happy.

Tete says this time the World Cup will be theirs and they want to win a gold medal.

She says the young players bring lots of energy to the team.

She tells the young players not to carry pressure and to enjoy the game.

The senior players handle the pressure, and the goalkeepers protect the goal so attackers can play boldly.

Tete believes that if everyone plays with courage, the team can make the whole country feel proud.
