Jharkhand Probe Clears Blood Bank in HIV Case
A family in Jharkhand got very sick with HIV.
They thought it was because of blood they got from a hospital.
The health department checked and said the blood was not the problem.
The husband had said his wife got the blood during a baby delivery.
The health department looked at all the records and found the blood was safe.
But some people still want more investigations.
Last year, the same hospital had a problem with five kids getting HIV from blood.
The hospital says they will help the family.
Jharkhand health department probe cleared the Chaibasa Sadar Hospital blood bank of causing HIV infection in a family.
The family alleged the infection was due to a blood transfusion during a C-section in 2023.
The probe found the used blood donor's sample was HIV negative.
Opposition leader Babulal Marandi demanded a CBI probe into the hospital's activities.
The hospital assured the family of proper check-up and treatment as per government norms.
