Maharashtra Fisheries Minister Directs Urgent Action on Dabhol Creek Pollution

In the state of Maharashtra in India, a minister named Nitesh Rane is in charge of helping fishermen.

Fishermen who live near a place called Dabhol Creek were having a hard time because their fish were dying.

The minister found out that dirty water from factories was going into the creek.

When factories throw away chemicals without cleaning them, the water becomes bad for fish.

Lots of fish died, and that made it hard for fishermen to earn money.

The minister told the pollution board to check the factories and stop them from dumping dirty water.

He also asked them to check the water going into and out of cleaning plants.

The minister wants a special machine to dig the creek mouth so boats can pass easily.

Digging the creek mouth will help fishermen go out to fish safely.

The government is working to make the water clean again so the fish and fishermen can be happy.
