TTD Aids Families of Artistes Killed in Accident
Two musicians, K. Chakravarthi and K. Nagaraju Chetty, were tragically killed in a road accident while traveling to perform a devotional programme for the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP).
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to provide financial aid to their families, including ₹5 lakh each as ex-gratia payment and ₹25,000 for funeral expenses.
Additionally, TTD will offer free education to their children in their institutions.
This decision was made considering the exceptional circumstances, as existing rules do not cover such assistance for private artistes.
The decision will be reviewed by the TTD trust board for ratification.
