Madhya Pradesh May Restore ₹600 Uniform DBT for Students

Madhya Pradesh May Restore ₹600 Uniform DBT for Students

Madhya Pradesh may change how government-school students receive uniform help.

Instead of giving students stitched uniforms, the government may send money directly to their bank accounts.

The earlier assistance amount was ₹600.

The proposal may be discussed by the Cabinet on Tuesday.

Some officials want to keep giving students stitched uniforms.

The government had approved stitched uniforms for students in Classes 1 to 8 in June.

A large tender for the uniforms faced a High Court stay and was later cancelled.

More than 56 lakh students could be affected.
