Mokama’s New Rail Bridge Opens to Boost Bihar Connectivity

A new railway bridge has opened at Mokama in Bihar.

It crosses the Ganga River and sits beside the older Rajendra Pul.

The new bridge has two railway lines.

It gives trains another way to travel between North and South Bihar.

Both passenger trains and freight trains can use the additional route.

The bridge cost around Rs 2,400 crore to build.

Railway safety officials inspected it on October 3 and 4, 2026.

Trains began using it after it received safety approval.
