Electropreneur 2.0 Brings Hardware Startup Funding Beyond Bengaluru

Electropreneur 2.0 Brings Hardware Startup Funding Beyond Bengaluru

Electropreneur 2.0 is a government-backed programme for technology startups.

It is designed to help people build electronic products, not just software.

The programme has Rs 47 crore and hopes to support 500 startups.

Many of these startups may come from smaller cities instead of Bengaluru.

Eleven local centres will offer funding, advice, laboratories and testing facilities.

An earlier programme helped 59 startups create products, patents and revenue.

The new programme wants to help more ideas become businesses that customers can buy from.

It is part of India’s larger effort to grow its semiconductor and electronics industries.

The government will provide support, but startups will still be responsible for making their businesses succeed.
