BHEL Q3 Profit Surges 190% on Higher Income
BHEL, a big Indian company, just shared its results for the last three months.
They made a lot more money than last year, almost double the profit!
This is because they earned more from other sources besides their main business.
Their total money made from selling things also went up by a bit.
However, the stock price went down a little bit after the news.
The company also decided to close a new plant they were planning to open in Varanasi because of the current business situation.
Meanwhile, Havells India also reported good news.
They made 8% more profit than last year and their total money from selling things went up by a lot compared to the previous quarter.
They also had to pay a big one-time cost because of new labour laws, but overall, they are doing well and even gave some money back to their shareholders as a dividend.
BHEL's Q3 revenue grew 16.4% YoY to ₹8,473 crore, missing Bloomberg's estimate of ₹8,827 crore.
BHEL's EBITDA rose 79% YoY to ₹546 crore, with margins expanding to 6.4% from 4.2%.
BHEL's net profit surged 190% YoY to ₹390.40 crore, aided by a 102% increase in other income.
BHEL's board approved the short closure of a new plant in Varanasi, originally planned for ₹345 crore investment.
