East Zone Wins Duleep Trophy After 13-Year Wait

East Zone won a major cricket competition called the Duleep Trophy.

They beat South Zone in the final match.

The game lasted until its fifth and last day.

East Zone had played very strongly during the previous 12 sessions.

Their biggest advantage came from scoring far more runs in their first innings.

That large lead was enough to decide the match.

This was East Zone’s first Duleep Trophy victory in 13 years.

The match was played on a Thursday, but the exact location is not given here.
