Mumbai Coastal Road: BMC Plans Still Pending for Open Spaces
Mumbai has built a new coastal road, and it took back some land from the sea.
They used part of this land for the road.
But there's still a lot of extra land, about the size of 70 football fields, that they don't know what to do with yet.
The city plans to put things like parking areas and places to walk on this extra land, but they haven't made any decisions about the specifics.
BMC has not yet decided how to use 70 hectares of open space along the Mumbai Coastal Road.
The Coastal Road project reclaimed 110 hectares of land.
40 hectares of the reclaimed land were used for road construction.
The remaining 70 hectares are designated as open spaces.
These open spaces may include parking lots and walkways.
