Woman Holds Metro Doors with Foot
A woman put her foot between the closing doors of a Metro train to keep them open so her friend could get on.
This happened at Dum Dum Cantonment station around 1.10pm on Saturday.
The train was delayed for about three minutes because of this.
The Metro officials had to manually lock the doors to resume the journey.
This kind of behavior is dangerous and can cause accidents.
The Metro is planning to introduce new technology to prevent such incidents.
In the past, similar actions have led to serious accidents, including one where a passenger was dragged to his death.
Another incident in Delhi resulted in a woman's death after her sari got stuck in the doors.
