Goldman Sachs Finds AI Adoption Leaders, Tech Hiring Faces Pressure

A Goldman Sachs report looked at how quickly countries are using artificial intelligence.

France, the United States, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom were among the fastest adopters.

Emerging markets were using AI at somewhat lower rates.

In industries where AI can replace some tasks, companies began posting fewer jobs after the middle of 2022.

This was especially noticeable in technology-related services and call centers.

Call-center jobs were particularly far below normal levels in the United States, Canada, and Germany.

The report said AI has not yet caused a large hiring slowdown across entire economies.

However, younger and entry-level workers may have more difficulty finding jobs as companies use automated tools.
