India's Dirtiest Cities 2025: Bengaluru and Chennai Among Worst Performers
Imagine a big report card for all the cities in India that grades them on how clean they are.
This year's report card, called Swachh Survekshan 2025, shows that while some small towns did a great job, many big cities are still struggling.
Even though cities like Bengaluru are famous for technology, they are ranked among the dirtiest.
Delhi also received a low score.
This means that even with fancy plans for 'Smart Cities', many places still have too much garbage and not enough clean streets.
Some cities are doing really well, showing that being clean is possible everywhere.
The report reminds us that making all of India clean is a big job that still needs a lot of work.
The Swachh Survekshan 2025 report identifies India's dirtiest and cleanest cities.
Bengaluru ranked fifth dirtiest among cities with over one million population.
Delhi was listed as the tenth dirtiest city in India.
Several smaller towns have outperformed larger metropolitan areas in cleanliness rankings.
Challenges like unplanned growth, inefficient waste management, and civic negligence affect major cities.
