Delhi High Court Issues Notice to Shashi Tharoor in Defamation Case
Imagine someone said bad things about another person on TV.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, a politician, thinks Shashi Tharoor, also a politician, did this to him.
Chandrasekhar says Tharoor lied and damaged his reputation, even saying he bribed voters.
Chandrasekhar first tried to get Tharoor in trouble with a lower court, but it didn't work.
Now, Chandrasekhar is asking a higher court to look at the case again.
The higher court has told Tharoor to respond to the accusations.
They will meet again to talk about this on September 16.
Delhi High Court seeks Shashi Tharoor's stance on Rajeev Chandrasekhar's defamation plea.
Chandrasekhar claims Tharoor defamed him with false statements on national television.
Tharoor allegedly accused Chandrasekhar of bribing voters during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The lower court previously dismissed Chandrasekhar's defamation complaint.
