Students Protest Jantar Mantar Crackdown in Hyderabad

On Tuesday, hundreds of students, activists, and members of the public gathered in Hyderabad to protest against the police action on demonstrators at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

The protests were held at two locations: People's Plaza near Necklace Road and the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Statue at Hussainsagar.

Despite heavy rain, protesters remained steadfast, raising slogans and holding placards to voice their concerns over student welfare and recent events in the national capital.

The protesters demanded the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan and accountability for alleged examination paper leaks.

They also organized a candlelight vigil in memory of students who allegedly died by suicide following examination-related controversies.

The police were present to maintain order and manage traffic, and the protests ended peacefully when the police asked the organizers to stop due to increasing traffic.
