Karnataka Youth Congress Demands Election Chief’s Resignation in Bengaluru

Youth Congress members held a protest in Bengaluru.

They carried torches and asked Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign.

They said there were problems with changes to electoral rolls.

Their state leader, Manjunath Gowda, said they would keep protesting until Kumar resigned.

The protesters also spoke against the detention of Rahul Gandhi and others in Delhi.

They shouted slogans against the Election Commission and the central government.

Some protesters tried to get past police barricades to march to the Election Commission office.

Police detained them, and emergency crews quickly put out the flames from a burned effigy.
