PWD Minister Orders Accountability for Poor Roads, Executive Engineers
The PWD Minister in Bhopal said that if roads get worse because of bad work or slow fixing, the engineers in charge will be held responsible.
He wants all the money bills for road materials to be checked carefully before paying.
He also told the engineers to keep an eye on roads, bridges, and culverts that get damaged by rain or water.
The goal is to make sure roads stay safe and people don’t get hurt or stuck.
This is a new rule to stop problems with roads in the state.
Executive engineers will be held accountable for road deterioration due to negligence or delayed repairs during the monsoon.
Officials responsible for delayed repairs or negligence will face action.
Minister reviewed construction works, surprise inspections, bitumen supply, bill verification, road quality, public welfare ponds, training, and compliance.
He demanded 100% verification of all bitumen bills and complete reconciliation before payments.
Chief engineers directed to monitor roads, bridges, culverts, especially rain‑damaged and water‑logging prone areas, for immediate repair.
