Twin Meteor Showers to Light Up Skies on July 29-30
Get ready for a fantastic show in the sky!
On the night of July 29th into the early hours of July 30th, 2025, we can see two meteor showers at once.
They're called the Southern Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids.
This means you might see lots of shooting stars!
The moon won't be too bright, so it'll be easy to spot them.
These meteors come from tiny bits of space rock and dust.
If you want to see the best show, go somewhere dark away from city lights and look south, where the constellations Aquarius and Capricornus rise higher.
Two meteor showers, the Southern Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids, will peak together.
The peak viewing time is the early morning of July 30, 2025.
At least 25 meteors per hour are predicted.
The moon will be 27% full, providing dark skies for viewing.
The Southern Hemisphere will have the clearest views of the meteors.
