Maharashtra Sugar Mills Boost Cane Crushing

By December 21, they crushed more sugarcane and made more sugar than last year.

Sugar production reached 380.21 lakh quintals this season, compared to 222.82 lakh quintals last year.
The sugar recovery rate improved to 8.52% from 8.20% in the previous season.
Key regions like Kolhapur, Pune, and Solapur showed strong performance in cane crushing.
Pune division reported the highest cane crushing with 109.34 lakh tonne processed.
