India's National Highway Network Expands Significantly Since 2014
Imagine India's roads are like veins for the country.
Since 2014, these 'veins' have become much bigger!
The government has built many new highways, making the road network over 60% longer.
They've also created super-fast roads called expressways.
Each day, they built about 26 kilometers of new highways.
Lots of new road projects are still in progress, costing a huge amount of money.
This is all part of a big plan to improve how people and goods move around India.
India's National Highway network expanded over 60% since 2014.
The total length of National Highways grew to 146,342 km by June 2024.
High-Speed Corridors (expressways) have increased from 93 km in 2014 to 5,110 km currently.
The average pace of highway construction was 26.3 km per day between 2014 and 2024.
