Trump Reportedly Wanted Polish President, Not PM, in Ukraine Call
Trump, the former U.S. president, preferred that the Polish president, who is his ally, be part of a call about Ukraine instead of the Prime Minister of Poland.
This created some tension because the two Polish leaders have different views, even though they both support Ukraine.
The White House hasn't confirmed this request.
Trump reportedly requested Polish President Nawrocki to participate in a Ukraine teleconference instead of Prime Minister Tusk.
Tusk stated he received information, along with European partners, about the U.S. preference for Nawrocki to represent Poland.
Nawrocki is an ally of Trump's and defeated Tusk's party candidate in June.
The White House did not confirm the request.
Tusk and Nawrocki have differing views on domestic issues, though both support Ukraine.
