SVIMS Performs Complex Spinal Surgery Under Pranadanam Scheme

A 25-year-old man had an unusually curved spine in his upper back.

Doctors at SVIMS treated him with a difficult corrective operation.

He was admitted on August 22, 2026, and had surgery on September 9.

The operation was done under a financial assistance program called the Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust scheme.

The program provided about Rs 5 lakh for his treatment.

He recovered well after the operation.

He was discharged with advice for rehabilitation.

SVIMS said it has also performed many other free and advanced spinal surgeries for patients in need.
