Dell Announces Laptop Price Hike Due to Component Shortages
Dell is increasing the prices of some of its laptops and desktops starting from December 17.
This is because there is a shortage of two important parts called DRAM and NAND.
These parts are used to make the computer's memory and storage.
The price increase will be bigger for computers with more memory.
For example, a computer with 32GB of memory will cost $130 to $230 more, and one with 128GB of memory will cost $520 to $765 more.
This means that if you want to buy a Dell computer with a lot of memory, it will be more expensive than before.
Dell is increasing prices on commercial laptops and desktops due to global shortages of DRAM and NAND components.
The price hike will be effective from December 17.
Higher-spec machines with more RAM and SSD storage will see larger price increases.
32GB RAM configurations will become $130 to $230 more expensive.
128GB RAM configurations will see a price jump of $520 to $765 per device.
