British MPs Call for World Cup Boycott Over Trump's Greenland Actions
Some British politicians are suggesting that football teams should not play in the upcoming World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
They want to do this because they are upset with US President Donald Trump for something he did involving Greenland.
They think this would make President Trump feel embarrassed.
However, the UK's Foreign Secretary said they would still try to talk things out with the US.
The World Cup is a big football tournament that happens every four years.
This one is special because it will be hosted by three countries together for the first time.
President Trump was also given an award by FIFA for helping with peace in some places.
British MPs Simon Hoare and Luke Taylor called for a boycott of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
The boycott is in response to US President Donald Trump's actions over Greenland.
Hoare accused Trump of disrespecting allies and suggested the boycott to embarrass him at home.
The 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada, marking the first time three nations co-host.
FIFA awarded Trump its inaugural 'Peace Prize' for his role in promoting peace between Israel and Palestine.
