CJP Leader Vows New Protests After Delhi Release

CJP leaders were detained after the party planned a protest in Delhi.

Police said the protest did not have permission.

Police also said the party had not followed earlier rules and that violence and damage had occurred at a previous protest.

The leaders were later released with a condition to maintain peace and good behaviour for one year.

CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke said they had not agreed to stop protesting.

He said the party would take to the streets again.

Police said restrictions were in place in parts of Delhi to help protect public order.

Dipke also said he was travelling to Maharashtra for his grandmother’s funeral.
