Manipal Health IPO Oversubscribed 4.92x, Listing on Aug 5
Manipal Health, a hospital chain, sold new shares to the public in a big fundraising event called an IPO.
People and companies bought the shares, and the total demand was almost five times the number of shares offered, which is a good sign.
Most of the buying came from big investors, while individual retail buyers bought less.
The shares will start trading on the stock exchanges on August 5, and the price will be set at Rs 590 per share.
The price was decided after looking at how much people were willing to pay in the unlisted market, which was flat, meaning no extra premium.
The company will give the shares to the buyers by early August, and any extra money will be refunded.
This helps the company grow its hospitals and services.
Manipal Health IPO oversubscribed 4.92 times overall.
Qualified Institutional Buyers led the demand, oversubscribed 8.25 times.
Retail investors were undersubscribed at 0.93 times.
Grey market premium remained flat, pointing to a Rs 590 listing price.
Shares expected to list on NSE and BSE on August 5, 2024.
