Odisha Farmers Trained to Improve Mango Exports
Imagine farmers in Odisha who grow mangoes.
They learned how to make their mangoes even better for selling!
The government held a special class to teach them things like how to pick the mangoes carefully, sort them by size, and pack them so they don't get squished.
They also learned how to store them in cool places.
This helps the farmers sell their mangoes for more money, both at home and in other countries.
Now, they can get help from the government with things like special boxes and cool storage.
The farmers got to see how it's done by visiting real mango farms, and they are excited to use their new knowledge right away!
A training session was held for over 150 mango farmers in Odisha.
The training focused on sorting, grading, and hygienic packaging.
Farmers learned about post-harvest practices to meet export standards.
The program included demonstrations in mango orchards.
The training was organized by the Department of Agriculture.
